How to read this summary

Counts, averages, medians and group labels above are reported values from a secondary document. They were not recalculated from a combined candidate-level dataset. Mito calculated the score-band shares and drew these charts from the reported counts.

Reported averages are rounded. This overview cannot support an exact score-to-rank lookup, individual ties, admission probabilities or university cut-offs. The separate PDF analysis below uses a different source and does not establish that source’s EU / non-EU classification.

  • Only summary statistics were supplied for the EU group. Its individual results, the combined averages and the combined median cannot be independently recomputed from this document.
  • EU and non-EU labels follow the supplied summary. Its original data source, category classification and national completeness have not been independently verified.
  • Means and medians retain the precision reported in the summary. Mito calculates the displayed percentages from its reported counts.
  • The five reported scores of 90 are retained without adjustment: three labelled EU and two labelled non-EU. They are not independently confirmed, and no correction is assumed.
  • This is a preliminary score overview, not an official admission ranking.

Sources, scope and calculation method

Scope: Scored entries extracted from the supplied MU.pdf. EU/non-EU grouping and completeness across all IMAT 2026 candidates have not been independently verified.

Source status: Supplied to Mito; original publication not independently verified. Coverage: unverified.

9,658 distinct candidate codes and 2 entries marked identity pending are included. No candidate codes are displayed on this page.

  • This is an independent analysis of a reader-supplied file. Its original official download and national population coverage remain unverified.
  • All 9,660 scored entries are included: 9,658 unique candidate codes and two asterisk-marked entries awaiting verification of personal details (57.6 and 68.8 points).
  • Two independent extraction methods agree on every candidate-code/score pair and the full score distribution. All five component scores sum to their stated total.
  • Thirteen identical rows duplicated by PDF page-break clipping were counted once; fourteen split rows were reconstructed. No distinct scored entry was discarded.
  • Only aggregate score counts are published. Candidate codes and the source PDF are not shared here.

Mito checks extracted scores, score ranges and duplicate records before calculating these statistics. The mean is the sum of included scores divided by their count. The median is the middle score, or the mean of the two middle scores. Percentile thresholds use linear interpolation between ordered scores.

The distribution includes each scored entry once. The highest-score table lists distinct scores with their tie counts. The personal comparison counts strictly lower scores, equal scores and higher scores separately; it does not use ties to imply a more precise rank.

These figures describe the stated list. They do not establish national participation, applicant category, university-specific cut-offs or admission probabilities. The official ranking and the relevant university’s notices remain the basis for admission decisions.

Latest updates

Times below show when Mito checked or analysed a source, in Europe/Rome. They are not the Ministry’s publication timestamps.

  1. Mito analysis

    EU and non-EU summary added

A supplied statistical summary reports 18,368 results: 8,708 labelled EU and 9,660 labelled non-EU. The overview shows its reported figures separately from Mito’s earlier extraction of MU.pdf. The EU individual results and official coverage remain unverified.

    Publication-day source check

Mito checked the public MUR calendar at 10:14 Europe/Rome. It lists 8 October for anonymous results, but did not yet link an anonymous score dataset at this check. The separate Universitaly check at 09:39 returned a browser verification challenge. At that time, no 2026 score statistics had been published on this page.

    MUR results calendar verified

The Ministry's calendar schedules anonymous results for 8 October, personal results in the reserved Universitaly area for 19 October and ranking publication for 26 October 2026. These are scheduled dates; a date alone does not confirm publication.

What are the anonymous IMAT results?

Anonymous results publish candidates’ exam scores without their names. They let you compare scores within the published group, before the admission process determines who receives a place.

What they can tell you

The range of scores, how scores are distributed, and where a score sits within that dataset — once its coverage has been checked.

What they cannot tell you yet

A confirmed place, your university-specific admission cut-off, or your admission probability. Applicant category, preferences and ranking rounds still matter.

IMAT 2026 results: your questions

When are IMAT 2026 results released?

The MUR calendar schedules anonymous results for 8 October 2026, individual results for 19 October and ranking publication for 26 October. Use the official candidate portal to access the results. Any analysis of a supplied PDF on this page is marked separately from independently verified official publication.

What are anonymous IMAT results?

Anonymous results show exam scores without candidates’ names. They can describe the score distribution for the candidates included in the published file. They do not by themselves establish a university offer or the final admission cut-off.

What the results can tell you →
How are IMAT scores calculated?

For the 2026 paper, a correct answer earns 1.5 points, an incorrect answer loses 0.4 points, and an unanswered question earns 0. With 60 questions, the maximum is 90 points. The scoring formula is the same for EU and non-EU candidates; the applicable ranking and admission process can differ.

What is a good IMAT 2026 score?

There is no single score that guarantees a place everywhere. A meaningful comparison needs the applicable applicant category, university, seats and ranking round. A percentile describes a position in a score dataset; it is not an admission probability. Preliminary analysis of a supplied PDF is labelled separately from independently verified official results and does not predict a cut-off.

Read the analysis and its limits →
When will the final ranking be published?

The MUR calendar lists ranking publication on 26 October 2026. That publication should not be confused with the final outcome after later allocation rounds. Check the official procedure and your university’s notices for the ranking that applies to your category and any subsequent deadlines.
